Sleeping/Schedule
This week James stretched to 4 hours at night once or twice. He's sticking at 3.5 most times though, or 3.5 and 4. The difference between feeding every three hours and even every 3.5 is a lot but not enough that it's making up for a wonky morning schedule almost every day. What we really need is for him to sleep long enough to drop one of those nighttime feedings and then start sleeping in more consistent pieces and we can get more on a regular schedule. And by regular schedule I mean that I still feed him within 30 minutes of the same time almost every morning (I'm a Babywise person, remember!) but a lot of times that's meaning feeding him at a 2.5 hour interval in order to get that feeding in.
We're still feeding at 3 hour intervals during the day and anticipate doing that for a while until he starts sleeping through the night. Right now it's hard to imagine that he might be sleeping through the night (i.e. 6-8 hours) in 3-4 weeks but I guess his sleep progress has been big each week so hopefully that will be true.
This week we also started focusing on getting him out of his swing to sleep during the day and into his pack and play (still not brave enough to try nighttime yet). So far he's doing really well with it. He's done pretty good the times that I've put him down when he was awake and has gotten himself to sleep and if he's drowsy when you put him down (a lot of times since he's still so sleepy) it's a piece of cake to let him fall asleep. I have found that, like his sister, he sleeps better when he has a sound machine on. That could be so that it blocks out the wild banshee that is his sister who just discovered that she can jump and likes to jump everywhere...on our hardwood floors...as loud as she can!

Eating
James is still eating good. Like I said, every three hours during the day and four feedings between 9:30 pm and 6:30 am spaced somewhat evenly. It usually takes between 20-30 minutes from the diaper change at the beginning of the feeding to, often, another diaper change at the end of the feeding. I had totally forgotten how often babies go to the bathroom and thus need their diaper changed! We're going through loads of diapers over here!
James had only had that one bottle before this morning when we fed him another one when we got to the pumpkin patch. He didn't take this one as well as he did the one before -- well, he didn't not like it but was just eating really slow which we didn't really have time for. He only ate about 2 ounces out of the bottle before becoming disinterested but it sufficed and kept him happy for the duration of our trip and the entire 3 hour cycle until the next feeding.

Charlotte
Honestly, this week we've seen a lot more neediness on her part. She's had quite a few accidents this week (as well as a horrendous car ride home from Tuscaloosa last weekend) but thankfully has only really had them at home and had none while out or at school so that's good. She had a hard time when I went out yesterday for a Bible Study and apparently pitched a fit when I wasn't there to do the things that I typically do. But I expected all of this and none of it has really surprised me, only maybe in that it's taken this long for it to show up. She's still not showing any hostility to James it's just that she gets upset really easy.

Help
This week I did so much more by myself! On Tuesday I got Charlotte up, dressed, fed and to school on time with James with us, came back and fed James at home, went to Target, and then we got Charlotte to school! Of course, that day left me completely tired so on Thursday the calvary (Mom and Dad) came in to take Charlotte to school to make it easier, but James and I did pick her up. I am feeling much better this week and much closer to normal which is nice. I even felt good enough to go on a walk even though I might have overdone the length a little. But overall I'm feeling good and ready to start resuming a lot of my post-baby activities.
