I want THAT!

Until about the beginning of May we hadn't really reached a point with Charlotte where she would point and tell us that she wanted something.  She would sometimes point to something and ask questioningly "That??" meaning "What is that?" but she hadn't really started talking in sentences and so wasn't making it known to us yet her desires for toys, etc (clothes/shoes -- that's a different story!).  So it came as a big shock to us when we were reading her "Roll Tide" book and we got to the page with the kids dressed up in football and cheerleader gear with Big Al and Charlotte pointed to the cheerleading outfit (specifically the shoes) and said, "I want THAT!"

We had been wanting to get her a cheerleading uniform anyway so her birthday became a perfect place to provide one!  Memma and Papa searched all over Tuscaloosa for one in her size and came away winners with shoes and a bow to match!  She was excited when she opened it up and on Monday morning she decided she wanted to wear it all!  So she wore her uniform all day and we did lots of fun things in it!

She posed with her new Belle doll...

She plopped down on one of her new pillows in her new room after the drapes were hung...

She played with her new music player.....

She spun around with Belle until she got dizzy....

And she attacked Mommy when she got tired of pictures being taken!

  1. I'd say an Alabama cheerleader outfit is the perfect first thing to want. ROLL TIDE!
