College Buddies

Sometimes God places people into your life for a short time period and they make a large impression on you.  Sometimes they're in your life for a season and sometimes they stay for longer.  Lindsey was a person that I greatly admired at Alabama.  Even though she chose a different house than mine during rush I always felt a kinship to her because she was so kind and thoughtful.  We didn't really see each other much at school but our path's crossed during rush multiple times and in a few honor societies.  I always admired her as a person for what she stood for and for how she conducted herself and made a positive impact on The University.

Fast forward a few years and I was out of school and just keeping up with friends on facebook.  Then I started a blog and soon found that Lindsey had started one also.  We began to be blog buddies and eventually met up at a football game and started creating a real friendship instead of just a passing acquaintance.  We don't get to see each other very often but have caught up during some football weekends.

Last Monday Lindsey made the drive up to see Charlotte and I.  We enjoyed a fun morning playing around the house and then we took Lindsey to a local restaurant for lunch.  Charlotte loved playing with Miss Lindsey and when she got up from her nap and Lindsey was gone she went back to the spot where Lindsey had been sitting on the couch and pointed at it asking where she had gone.  I enjoyed getting to spend some quality time with Lindsey during Charlotte's nap too.  It's so nice to have a number of Christ-centered friends who you can depend on to pray for you when you need it and who you can pray for also.

We hope you come back to visit very soon Miss Lindsey!!

  3. Oh, friend...your words are far too kind. Just you wait. I'm vacationing this week and at the top of the list is getting caught up on my blog. Can't wait to get into words what YOU mean to me!
