The Girls' Christmas

On Friday Miss Kelly and Caroline came over to play.  We invited them over in part so that Kelly and I could make sure we were ready for our party on Saturday but mostly to enjoy some girl time and exchange Christmas gifts.

The girls had fun coloring, eating snacks, playing with baby dolls and stuffed animals, putting animals and baby dolls in Charlotte's old jumper, eating lunch, and much more.  They are so much fun to watch now that Charlotte is older and is actually interacting with Caroline!  They have fun together!

The girls were enjoying snack time until we asked if we could take a picture of them and Charlotte melted down...

She perked up though when we brought out the presents and was so excited to get all the tissue paper out of her present!

She loves her new tea set and the girls had fun playing with it before naptime!

We hope Caroline enjoys dressing up in her princess ballerina tutu costume!

Miss Kelly was sweet to occupy the girls with a Christmas song and dance while I fixed lunch.  I LOVE this picture because you can kind of tell how much fun the girls were having! Kelly is the best at making games/songs/dances/etc up to entertain them!

We thought our efforts at a picture of them together would be dashed again when Charlotte again had a meltdown when we put her in the chair.  Thankfully with her blanket (and Caroline's so that they matched!), Elmo on in the background, and Miss Kelly singing "Jingle Bells" she finally perked up and started dancing.  BUT she was dancing so the tongue stuck out and arms going wildly is as good as I could get!  Maybe Kelly has a more "classic" shot?? :)

The girls did enjoy snuggling together though!

We had so much fun with our friends and can't wait to get together again soon!  We are very thankful that we have such great friends and get to see them so much!
