Holiday Slim Down

Part two of the Atlanta trip coming up later today but first, my weekly weigh in with the Holiday Slim Down.

Last week's challenge was to go 48 hours without eating sweets. I decided to take the challenge because I figured the enormous amount of cupcakes that I ate last weekend probably weren't a great idea if I wanted to still loose weight. So after the last cupcake was eaten Monday night I decided I was forgoing all sweets until I ate my next cupcake Thursday night at our kickoff party with the Dixon's. :) I also walked during the week and mopped the bottom floor of our house for the party which, let me tell you, was a lot of exercise in and of itself! I weighed myself Thursday morning and I was down 3 pounds! I was super excited but figured that loss wouldn't last with a trip out of town and random eating over the weekend. But over the weekend I made sure to stick to my no fried foods plan and tried to choose the best options from what I was given.

Miracle of miracle, when I weighed this morning I was still down 3 pounds! So now I'm totally sold on not eating sweets to loose weight. I mostly have been eating 100 calorie packs but it appears that even those are just a little too much. So I'm not swearing off sweets altogether because I have way too much of a sweet tooth and I feel like making that promise would be just asking to fail miserably. So my plan is just to try and eliminate sweets as much as I can. We'll see how that helps!
