So this was the first weekend with an Alabama football game at home in Tuscaloosa. Let me just tell you, we had a blast! While the game was pretty slow and boring we did still win and we got to hang out with my family, my cousins and extended family, and some great friends! I'm looking forward to weekends like this all fall!
Sarah is such a great friend! God placed us both in a Senate internship for Senator Jeff Sessions the same summer term in 2004(?) and we immediately bonded! Sarah and I fit each other's personalities and enjoyed exploring Washington and the surrounding areas together. We had so much fun and I was so glad when she started law school at Alabama our last year in Tuscaloosa. Now if only we could convince her to move to our town when she graduates!
This is me with my sweet cousin Mary. As you can see a few posts ago she pledged Alpha Chi this fall and I'm just so happy that she's enjoying college life so far!
Mary and Lauren are two of my four girl cousin's on my Mom's side of the family and I'm so glad I get to see them more often now! They are both such great girls that are shining example's of Christ's joy in their life and I'm so blessed to be related to them!
Abby is the youngest of our cousins and so much fun! She loved her Alabama cheerleading outfit and her huge Big Al stuffed animal that she got at the game. She has determined that she's going to come to Alabama for college now and we couldn't be happier! I'm glad that she (and her mom) came down to Tuscaloosa with us. She definitely made the weekend more fun with her excitement. She even taught us all how to use new features on the cable box that we didn't even know existed before!
I love my parents! They are really the best that anyone could ever ask for. They've been so supportive of my for my entire life and you couldn't ask for better role models! They've been married for 26 years and are still so sweet to each other. Thanks Mom and Dad for a great weekend and for being the best parents!
Of course, Jason and I realized when we got home that we didn't take a picture together! Oh well, there's always next week!
Speaking of next week, what food do you like to eat when you tailgate? Please give me some suggestions and I'll let you know how it goes!
