Construction Chronicles - Let there be light!

This week was a fun one because we got lights on!  The house is quickly starting to look more and more like a home and we are very excited to move in!  We also got plumbing almost completed this week and now having indoor plumbing and running water in the house, so that's a definite step up. :)  And our beautiful tile back splashes in the kitchen and butler's pantry went in and they are every bit as beautiful in person as I hoped they would be!

Master shower is almost complete

I love the St. James Magnolia fixtures that we put on the exterior of the house

The Walker Zanger Ashbury Vibe backsplash looks greener in this picture that it is, but I was unable to get rid of that tint.  I  love how it turned out!

This week will be busy with the rest of the cabinets coming in, the range & hood, paint, more plumbing and lights, and lots of other finishing touches.  We're still hoping for a move in a week from Friday!

  1. Your house looks great! Your kitchen looks beautiful. It looks like it's a similar size as the one we are building, but ours will be configured completely differently. It's super interesting to see how someone else interprets space. Do you know how tall the crown molding is on your cabinets? I think my cabinets may have shorter molding with taller small cabinets, but your proportions seem better.

    1. Thanks Ashley! I think the crown in our kitchen is about 12-13 inches. Have a great day!
