A tale of the everyday

It seems the middle of February has snuck up on me.  Despite my good intentions (and execution) in January, my blogging last week was dismal and when thinking about why I found that I finally got a little bit of breathing room which prompted me to tackle some long overdue tasks around the house rather than squeezing in blogging time.  The playroom is now much cleaner but the blog suffered a little bit.  Now I'm back and will show you a little bit of the nothing that we've done over the past few weeks.

Charlotte has enjoyed being silly A LOT!  This girl has a wild imagination and does anything she can to make herself some fun while we're stuck in the house due to the cold and a baby brother's almost constant napping schedule.  This includes running around with pullover's on our head and inventing lots of time with the "band and cheerleaders" in the "Ha Ha Mansion".

Charlotte's Sophie also had to make a reappearance when James' Sophie arrived.  The fun in hers wore off after about two days but for those two days she loved her Sophie.  (I have big ideas of making shadow boxes like this when James gets finished with his Sophie.)

Charlotte still loves getting fancy.  You can't quite tell but her bracelets go past her elbow!

We read a lot of books at our house and Charlotte has started asking for the iPad or one of our phones to "play app's" more and more often.  Right before bed on this night we were trying to buy ourselves some time and so everyone was watching a Mary Poppins song from YouTube.

We've spent a lot of time coloring.  These are extra hearts left over from the handprint Valentine craft that we did and we've enjoyed coloring them.

And Jamesy-boy is still just hanging out and growing every day.  He's learned how to blow raspberries and will do them (sometimes) back to you when you blow them.  He is so happy and the most precious baby boy ever!

Honestly, these past few weeks have been nice.  We had been going-going-going since James was born what with football games and then the holidays and then more travel and these weeks at home have been so good for my soul to rest and semi-relax.  Now that I've had a few of them under my belt I had some energy back and am looking forward to tackling new projects and old that are still waiting to be done!
