Oh the things that they say!

Charlotte is quite a character and as she's getting older she's coming up with more and more outrageous things to say.  In an effort to preserve them for posterity, here are some of my favorites.

The night of our Christmas party James got his first ear infection and Mom stayed up most of the night with him.  She kept Charlotte through Saturday afternoon so that I could take James to the doctor.  Mom put her down for her nap and told Charlotte that she (Mom) was going to take a nap.  After Mom left her in bed, Charlotte called for her to bring some milk.  After taking the milk back down, Charlotte called her up again.
C: How's your nap going?
Memma: Not good, a little girl keeps calling me upstairs.
C: Who?
M: Who do you think?
C: ME!!


Often, when we're walking from room to room at home Charlotte will look up at us and say "Walk with me" and hold out her hand.


When she's sad/happy/upset/cold/silly and pretty much any other emotion, she looks at us and says "I need a hug!"

After spending the night at Mom and Dad's and a day of fun, we were ready to get home but had already put James down for his nap.  So we went ahead and left for home with Charlotte with plans to let Mom and Dad bring James down to our house when he got up from his nap.
C: (on the way home, practically crying) I want Jamesy to come home with us!

C (coming down the stairs): I look so beautiful!
Me: Yes, you do look beautiful.
C: God made me so beautiful.
Me: Yes, God did make you so beautiful.
C: That was nice of him!

early February 2012
(after nap/bedtime)
C: Mommy Puppy jumped out of the bed!
Us: How did that happen?
C: I threw her on the floor!


C: (while spinning and then falling) I fell on my bob-bem!
