The Screening Room

In my list of things that I wanted to do before James arrived, I had listed "Make a pallet with Charlotte and watch a movie."  I have very fond memories of watching movies on pallet's growing up and I wanted to start that tradition with Charlotte.  I thought that we might have to scrap that goal as August started and I still hadn't found time to do it, but then one dreary afternoon Jason said that he was going to be working late and so I decided that we were going to do it!

I woke Charlotte up and told her that we were going to make a pallet, watch a movie, and eat popcorn and she immediately got into the idea!  She helped me lay out our comforter for the bottom layer of the pallet, our old quilt for the top layer of the pallet, and our big pillows.  She made an addition with her big pink puppy for her to lay on also!

She loved hearing the popcorn pop in the microwave and was super excited when I got it out!

Charlotte chose Santa Buddies as her movie of choice (she apparently got her Mother's love of Christmas movies year round!) and we settled in for a fun trip to the North Pole!

We had a great afternoon! I wouldn't necessarily recommend to any other 35 week pregnant women though that they try this because getting up OFF of the pallet was a little difficult!  But Charlotte had a great time and enjoyed the pallet for days before we finally put it up. I'm so glad that we could start this tradition!
