On the first snowed in day of Christmas.... (part one)

After celebrating with ourselves on Christmas morning we packed up and headed down to Mom and Dad's before we got snowed in at our house. On the way there I took some pictures with my phone to try and capture the scene, it was incredible!  These pictures, of course, don't do it justice but it was so neat seeing everything snowed in and so many people out playing in the snow.  We obviously weren't the first that had ventured out that morning and we even saw some tracks going down the mountain but we weren't willing to risk it with a 19 month old!

When we got down to Mom and Dad's we found them building a snowman for Charlotte! We took a brief stop outside even though none of us were dressed to be outside before we ran in to the warmth and breakfast!

We tried to bundle C up for a few brief minutes!

Charlie tried to sled across the street from their house and did pretty good at it!

After breakfast we decided to open presents before Charlotte's nap! 

Charlotte got to open the first present! But it was clothes so it wasn't too exciting for her! :)  But I loved them!

Then she opened her stroller and you can see how much she loves it!

She spent the next few minutes strolling the house with some dolls in her stroller giving us some time to open presents ourselves!

Then Charlotte finally got to open the present she's been playing with for the past month!  She took a few last times to play on it first though!

She was so excited with her plush Noah's Ark!

Charlotte LOVED her Tickle Me Elmo and wanted it out....until he got out and was tickled and rolled back on the floor and looked like he was convulsing, then she got scared!

Charlotte did get tired eventually and then took to sitting with Memma for the remainder of the present opening.  She loved her pink pillow pet and used it to lay against for some of the time too!

We had a great morning spending time with family and once Charlotte went down for her nap the kids (Charlie, Jason, and I) went out exploring in the snow! Those pictures coming up (hopefully!) soon!
