A look back

I saw another blog do a look back at 2010 with her favorite picture from each month and thought that that was a great idea! So, here are my favorite pictures from 2010!

January
Still one of my all-time favorite pictures of Charlotte.  Looking back she looks so little!  She was laying on the floor looking up at my while I was in the recliner and I actually took this picture upside down.  I love the shadows and her expression!

February

I took this picture with my phone and used the ShakeIt Photo app to add the border and the effects.  I love the old-timey look as well as the lines.  Charlotte was playing with her crib while I put away laundry and I just snapped this shot in order to get my One Tale a Day fulfilled.  Turned out so sweet!
March
I love this real smile that we got from Charlotte this afternoon.  She loved her puppy dog jumper that Memma bought her and we put it on her with her tights to go out.  She was starting to really show her happy personality at this point!

April

I LOVE this family picture! On Easter Sunday before church we went down and took pictures in front of my parent's neighbors dogwood and the background and lighting just made the pictures beautiful!

May
This was the first time that Charlotte ever hugged a baby doll.  I'm so thankful that I had the camera with me and got to capture this moment!  It's even more special that she chose to hug the Baby Be Blessed doll that Jason and I got for her before she was born!
June
This picture from the pool cracks me up.  She is such a diva and only recently has started putting her hands above her eyes when she gets sun in them -- it's hilarious! This, I guess, was the precursor to that.  We had so much fun at the pool this summer and this picture kind of sums all that up for me.

July

I think it's funny that I've chosen a lot of serious faced pictures for this but they are, honestly, my favorites.  Maybe not the ones that I would frame around the house all the time but my favorites all the same.  I love the light in C's eyes in this shot.  She's got her Elmo doll which was new at this point and her eyes just pop on the back porch! I also love the outfit that she had on.  That Gap outfit was precious!

August

Our sweet girl started stretching her wings in August.  She mastered walking and then couldn't be stopped and loved exploring out in the front yard all by herself.  I love the colors on this picture as well as her sweet baby arms and legs.  It makes me sad because those baby legs have been replaced by toddler legs now!

September

This is one of my favorite pictures of all time with me and C.  You can see the edge of her smile and can almost feel her excitement as I was tickling her.  And you can see a hint of my smile too and how much I was loving it.  Just a sweet, sweet memory that I don't want to ever forget.

October

My friend Erin took this picture for us when we were getting our Christmas card pictures made and I love it.  I love that all the colors complement (and we didn't even plan that!) and I love her curls and her sweet smile as well as her pink shoes.  At this point she had really made the turn into being a toddler and she looks so grown up in this picture!
November
This picture isn't the best quality because it was taken with a phone at night in the stadium but I love the picture of Jason and I.  It reminds me of pictures of us from when we were students and was a rare few minutes when we were at a game without C this year.  While I love sharing Alabama football with her it was nice for it to just be us for a few minutes!

December

We had so much fun in the snow at Christmas and even though C isn't looking at the camera I still think this is my favorite from December.  You can see how much fun we're having -- C is too happy to even sit still for a picture! -- and we're all bundled up.  Just reminds me of all the fun in the once-in-a-lifetime (probably) situation of a very white Christmas!

  1. I'm with you...I love the serious shots. Some of my favorites of my niece are the serious ones...and of course the profile shots!
