Book Review!

Double Shot: A Maya Davis Novel (Maya Davis Series)
Double Shot by Erynn Mangum

If you've known me for very long you probably know that I love to read and that Christian fiction is my favorite.  Ever since I found the Kindle app for my iPhone I constantly check Amazon to see what new books they have for free.  Back in the spring I quickly downloaded Miss Match when I saw that it was free for a few days.  Publishers sure know what they're doing with those free books because after I finished it I immediately had to download the other Lauren Holbrook series books and read them quickly!

I then started following the author, Erynn Mangum's blog, and saw that she had a new series premiering in April.  I quickly bought the first book Cool Beans and pre-ordered the next in the series, Latte Daze, so that I could get it as soon as it came out.  Then Erynn offerred her blog readers the chance to receive a free copy of the latest book in the series, Double Shot, for reviewing it and so I quickly took her up on her offer since I LOVE her books!

When the book came it took me a few days to start reading it what with the busyness of an 18 month old and football season but as soon as I picked it up I quickly devoured it in a few days.  What I love about Erynn's books are that her characters are so relateable that even though her character's are finding love and planning weddings I can still totally identify with them and get lost in their love story.

Double Shot didn't disappoint and was a great conclusion (I'm assuming) to Maya and Jack's love story.  They initially worked together at the coffee shop Cool Beans and the three books in the Maya Davis series have gotten them from co-workers who knew each other in high school to finally falling in love.  Even though I don't drink coffee I love Maya's obsession for all things coffee and Erynn's characters are so real that you can't help but falling in love when they do.

I don't want to spoil the story for those who haven't started the series yet or who haven't gotten to Double Shot yet but know that these books are great.  I highly recommend both series (Lauren Holbrook and Maya Davis) for anyone that you need a Christmas gift for or for yourself!  The books are easy reads that have a Christian focus on love which I love.

*Disclosure: I received a free copy of Double Shot to review and write about but only after asking for the opportunity because I love Erynn's books so much.  I'm also part of the Amazon Affiliate program so I receive a very small percentage of anything bought through my links on Amazon.
