On this day last year we were anxiously awaiting our ultrasound appointment. We loved every second of seeing our little baby on the monitor and we were dying to find out what we were having. Although Charlotte kept her back to us for most of the ultrasound and we weren't 100% positive, the technician told us that she was almost sure that we were having a girl. We jumped at her certainty and ran with it announcing her name, Charlotte Lee, on our blog that night.
We would have loved having a boy and we still hope to have one someday, but I am oh so glad that our first little one was a girl. So, taking a page from Amanda's blog here's to you Charlotte!
Charlotte, here's to monogrammed bloomers and bib and dresses. To patent leather shoes, tap shoes, ballet shoes, all kinds of shoes! To dance recitals, tea parties, first dances, Homecoming's, and formals. To playing dress us, playing in Momm'ys makeup, your already expressed love of jewelry. To bows and tights and tutu's. To ruffles and pink and purple and frilly little girl rooms. To chandeliers and purses and rings. To shopping for baby dolls, Easter dresses, cocktail dresses, work clothes, and everything in between. To friends and boyfriends and sorority sisters. To Bid Day, Graduation Day, first day's of school, and last day's at home. To decorating your dorm room, countless moves through college, finding your first apartment. To planning each and every detail of your wedding. To baby showers and rocking your newborn while you sleep. You are my precious baby girl. I still can't believe that you are mine. I love you!
So sweet, Jennifer! What a precious post . . . thanks for sharing! So glad your little girl got a mommy like you! :)
