Holiday Slim Down

Time for the weekly weigh in for the Holiday Slim Down! I was a little afraid to weigh in this morning because #1 - Charlotte had a growth spurt this week so while she was eating all the time I was eating all the time and #2 - a new cupcake store opened up and I found it on Saturday and MIGHT have bought a few too many cupcakes for just me and Jason. But I was pleasantly surprised to see the scale stop at the pound that I was almost too last week. So, while that means I only lost about 1/4 of a pound this week, I still lost. So that brings my total loss down to 3 pounds in 4 weeks. Not too bad!

Natalie's challenge for the week is to go 48 hours without sweets. Sweets are definitely my downfall so this is going to be hard but I'm going to go for it. We do almost exclusively (except when I find a new cupcake store) eat 100 calorie packs for dessert but still, if I cut those out that's an extra 100 calories that I have. It's going to be a struggle to fit in 3 walks a week now that football season is starting and we'll be traveling to games a lot. I've been walking with my Mom on Saturday morning's while Jason plays golf but that's out at least for the next few weeks until I have a Saturday morning free again. So I'm rededicating myself to walking three times a week and if I can't walk, I'll make sure and get some sort of exercise. I have the 30 Day Shred in my house but I'm pretty terrified to try and start that!

  1. Umm, excuse me? There is a new cupcake store in town? Please tell me where so I can check it out pronto!

I have the 30 day shred. It took me over a month to just open it and try it. The first time I thought I was going to die. Period. Then the next 3 days were miserable since I could no longer walk or move without extreme pain. But if you can get past the first session and ever do it again, it actually gets better. I only did it once or twice a week, but it really helped with increase my stamina. I even made it to level 2! Then I decided I would rather walk/jog intervals. But it's great for days when the weather is bad and it only takes 30 minutes! Good luck!

  2. Shred Shred Shred! Your body won't know what hit it! Seriously...if you can find 20 minutes to do it each day, you're going to be seeing some results in just a few days. I wouldn't go so far as to say I love it, but it has made such a difference that I don't plan on changing my routine anytime soon.

  3. I agree about the 30 day shred. It is hard and I pretty much hate Jillian during it, but it is a great work-out. I also need to know about the cupcake store!
