Last year Jason and I traveled to Oxford with Kelly and Tripp to attend the Alabama vs Ole Miss game. We "Groved" for the first time and enjoyed some great ribs at Rendevouz in Memphis. We had a lot of fun that trip! Kelly was (unbeknownst to us) pregnant at the time but you never would have known sitting next to her cheering on her Rebels!
So this year we made the trek to Tuscaloosa. This trip was a little more difficult. Kelly and Tripp decided to leave sweet baby Caroline at home with Tripp's parents and so they spent the weekend away for the first time. I can't even imagine how hard that was! But again, Kelly's a trooper and she'll cheer on the Rebels no matter what's going on! She did much better than me when I almost fell asleep in the 3rd quarter. But really, I'm pregnant and did you watch the 3rd quarter? You probably fell asleep too! :)
We had a great weekend. We got down to Tuscaloosa and enjoyed fantastic steaks at The Globe in Northport. Then Saturday morning we gave Kelly and Tripp a tour of the quad with all of the UA tailgaters along with showing them Denny Chimes, our captain's feet and handprints, and the President's Mansion. I also got to show Kelly around the Alpha Chi house which she said reminded her of the AOPi house at Ole Miss. The game was tense again which isn't really fun, but after the game we went back to Mom and Dad's condo to watch the other games and enjoy some birthday cake for my Dad's 50th birthday. Hopefully, Kelly and Tripp enjoyed the weekend as much as we did!
