Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Jason!

Even though this is late tonight, I did want to tell you how much I hope you enjoyed your birthday.  Today wasn't exactly the birthday of dreams.  You woke up at 5 to go to work and sit through meetings only to have your wife go out of town for a meeting leaving you with kid duty for a little while.  Thankfully you got to end your day with some guy bonding time at Scotch League so hopefully that turned any disappointments around!

Last night we celebrated and Charlotte was so excited through every step of making your cake.  She requested sprinkles and pink, green, and purple polka dots and hearts (sorry!).  And she couldn't wait until you got home and could see it.  I'll do a bigger post on it later (hopefully) but wanted to tell you what you meant to me today.

I fell in love with you eleven years ago and there hasn't been a day when I questioned that.  Even though it was a long time ago, I still remember talking on the phone with you late at night as you pondered where you might go play baseball in college.  I remember your Senior Prom and your graduation.  I also remember the rocky year the next year when baseball almost seemed too overpowering.  But through those highs and lows and all the ones that have come since then I have never doubted my love for you or yours for me.

Now we're living our dream.  We have two beautiful children who adore you.  We might not get to spend as much time just the two of us as we would like, but the time that we do get we try to take advantage of.  You are helping teach our children to be wonderful human beings and modeling Christ's love to them every single day.

I love you so much and hope that you had a wonderful day.  I can't wait to get back tomorrow and have a fun date night on Saturday.  I pray God's blessings on you and our family for many, many years to come.  Thank you for being the man that you are.

Happy Birthday!
